Dear readers,
Please join me Wednesday at 4 pm Eastern with famed scientist, angiogenesis expert, discoverer of VEGF, and Angiex co-founder Dr. Harold Dvorak in an online Fireside Chat.
We’ll discuss Hal’s pathbreaking work in angiogenesis; the efforts of Hal and his collaborators to develop a universal therapy for all solid cancers by attacking the tumor vasculature; and the prospects for achieving such a universal therapy through antibody-drug conjugate therapies directed against the protein TM4SF1.
We’ll look at the process of discovering TM4SF1’s amazing biology and building Angiex; and the state of Angiex’s lead drug AGX101, now showing promising early results in Phase 1 clinical trials for all solid cancers.
Please join us for a fascinating discussion of science, entrepreneurship, and the effort to fulfill Angiex’s vision that “No One Should Die of Cancer!”

Oh my! I’m sorry I did not see this in time. I would have loved to hear Dr. Dvorak. I check the website weekly. Looks like this info was posted the day before. Hope to catch any future Fireside Chats!
Hi Barbara, we’ll have a recording posted soon. Maybe tomorrow!
Hey Paul,
I just saw your new video on YouTube on the Angiex Inc. channel and I love it. I come from Germany and hope that your medication will quickly find its way to my country to help as many people as possible. Thank you for your work. I pray for the success of your medication.
Best regards,
Marvin
Hi Paul,
I’m a big fan of PHD. Recently I learned of the theory that antioxidants accelerate growth of cancer cells in mice and wanted to ask for your opinion. Can pro-oxidants be a treatment for cancer and be part of healthy diet?
Julie
Hi Julie,
The body uses redox reactions & oxidative stress as signaling mechanisms for many purposes, and antioxidants can harmfully quench these signals while pro-oxidants can augment the stress and make it excessive. I recognize the potential of pro-oxidative therapies, such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to act therapeutically for some health conditions. But for healthy people, I would not consider extra pro-oxidants a desirable part of a routine diet. Rather I would go for a balanced natural whole foods approach.
Best, Paul
