Hi Paul, I’m confused as which is the last version of the book on Amazon. I bought the book “paperback December 2013” and I thought that was the last version, but it includes the Iodine recommendation of 1000mcg per day, so i assume is the previous one?

I have checked my paperback version dated from December 2013, with ISBN 978-1-4516-9915-9, and on page 293 it says “[W]e recommend supplementing with 225 micrograms of iodine on days when seafood is not consumed”. I believe this is the last version. For the corresponding ebook, the ISBN is 978-1-4516-9916-6. Higher amounts of iodine are still mentioned in previous pages because they have therapeutic potential in several conditions, but I think Paul decided not to recommend such intakes for general population as a few things could go wrong (e.g., low levels of selenium) and then the recommendation would backfire.
The hardcover version is not updated and it does recommend starting with 225 mcg per day and then doubling it each month until you reach 1 mg (1,000 mcg), or more if convenient.

thanks for replying. On page 293 I see the same exact recommendation on the Iodine, but on page 281, at the beginning of chapter 30, it does say to start with 225mg working up to 1mg per day, and I don’t see the picture with the ice-cream cup on the back either

They must have forgotten to update that line, or that might be intended to be circunstancial advice, “work up to 1 mg [if necessary or therapeutic]”.
I just bought a book to give as a gift, and Amazon doesn’t list any more newer edition than December 2013. Also, if you use http://www.bookfinder.com, which is messy but efficient at finding many editions, you will get the same result.
The ice-cream in the back corresponds to the jacket to the hardcover edition–which doesn’t include the expanded chapter, nor the correction of errata, nor the few small updates.

There is no 2022 version of the book in English. There was a Chinese edition issued in 2022. The last English language edition was the 2012 hardcover / 2013 paperback, the paperback has some extra recipes.
We have been busy with our cancer therapy company, Angiex (www.angiex.com), or we would have made an updated book by now.
