Several exciting events are coming up soon.
September 19 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
On Thursday evening, September 19, at 7 pm, I’ll be speaking in an open event sponsored by Freedom of Choice in Cancer Therapy. It will be held at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 180 Gamma Drive in Pittsburgh; that’s in O’Hara Township, take exit 48 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. There is a cover charge of $8 to help the group defray expenses.
I’ll speak on the keys to health – the most important things to do to be healthy and live a long life. After the talk I’ll sign books and answer questions. I will stay until the last question has been answered.
If you’re within driving distance of Pittsburgh, I hope to see you!
Running and Movement Seminars September 27-28 in Austin Texas
Dr. Mark Cucuzzella is a professor of medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, an editor of the Journal of Evolution and Health, director of the Natural Running Center and owner of Two Rivers Treads in Shepherdstown WV, and a two-time winner of the Air Force Marathon (PR: 2:24). He created a great video “The Principles of Natural Running,” which I show to Perfect Health Retreat participants:

Lucky me, you’re coming to my city! See you soon in Pittsburgh.
Cucuzella’s advice is very good, and largely on the right track, but the technique is not optimal: it’s not perfect running form, i.e., the “one best way.” As Barefoot Ted once said: “Running should be judged esthetically.” Cucuzella’s form does not resemble the gracefulness seen in T. Dibaba or in some of the footage taken by Lieberman in Africa: moreover, there are concrete reasons for the divergence, owing to various misunderstandings, rooted in an insufficient grasp of the Platonic Form of running.
Hi Paul,
Try to make a trip to Toronto some time.
I’d love to Des. But not in the winter!
I keep looking forward to your promised simple natural treatment for GERD.
OT – A link to Dr. Carmine Pariante of King’s College London who seems to be on a parallel track to PHD on depression and inflammation.
I think his view is that the anti-inflammatory affect arising from use of anti-biotics alleviates the condition.

I’ve been following the PHD for about a year. Enterolabs/Dr Fine said that I’m gluten sensitive so I researched gluten free diets and found your wonderfully informative and well-researched book. I’ve been 99% compliant with the PHD except for occassional cornchips…I’m going to find an acceptable substitute for this in 2014. My pant size dropped from a size 10-12 to a 4-6. I wasn’t this trim even in high school. Amazing. I have had some improvement in my Vitiligo which is quite extensive and was rapidly progressing. Could you provide me with any specific recommendations which might further improve my condition? I take many of your recommended supplements including copper, K2, Vit C, B Complex, Vit D3 and Magnesium. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and reducing the suffering of others.
